Robert B. Crespin

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Crespin, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who departed this life on April 3, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on October 29, 1952, in Hereford, Texas, Robert lived a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to his family. Robert's journey began at Dimmitt High School, and he later pursued his passion for the open road by earning his Commercial Driver’s License from Amarillo College in 2007. In 1972, he courageously enlisted in the United States Army, where he served as a tanker in the esteemed Second Armored Division, known as "Hell on Wheels," and was stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado. In the spirited 1970s, Robert met the love of his life, Rosa Ortiz, and their connection blossomed again in 2004. Together, they built a home filled with warmth and joy, a testament to Robert’s big heart and his remarkable ability to prioritize others above himself. He was known for his fun-loving personality, a passion for 70s and Country music—particularly the timeless songs of Waylon Jennings and Merle Haggard—and a unique one of a kind talent singing and his own unique style of dancing that brought smiles to all around him. Robert was preceded in death by his Parents; Flabio and Anita Crespin along with seven siblings; Lewis, Al, Johnny, Frank, Donna, Mary and Beatle Robert is survived by his devoted wife, Rosa Crespin; children, Dalia Burk and her husband Chris, and Fermin Sanchez and his wife Carmen; his beloved grandchildren, Marcus Burk and his wife Mia, Lauren Burk, Avri Burk, Levi Sanchez, and Belle Sanchez; as well as his two sisters, Nora and Helen, and his brother Joe. He will also be a deeply missed Uncle by numerous nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends who were touched by his kindness and generosity. Robert was passionate about reading his Bible and reciting scripture from memory. He loved sports, proudly supporting the Green Bay Packers and enjoying the thrills of UFC and boxing. You could probably find Robert watching the History Channel and National Geographic taking in all the knowledge that he could. He also found joy in the strategic challenge of chess, often sharing his experiences and smiles with those he loved. Services will be conducted 11:00AM Saturday April 12th 2025 at Shafer Mortuary Funeral Home 1502 S. Cleveland Amarillo, Texas 79102
