Angela was born on January 9, 1962 in Littlefield, TX to John and Peggy Banks. She was raised in Amarillo, where she attended Tascosa High School. She began working at her father's business, Smith Auto Supply, where she worked until its closing in 2005. She then went to work for O'Reilly Auto Parts for several years, and later ASCO Equipment until her retirement after 8 years. Angela loved spending time with her family, listening to music, going to the races and mountains, as well as road trips, and weekends at the river with her grandkids.

Angela treasured her family and took pride in being Mama and "Granga," joyfully embracing this role with her grandchildren and great-nieces and nephews alike.

She is survived by her daughter, Marri Borden of Amarillo, and Marri's children Aniah and Dajamae as well as Daja's daughter, Taebree, her only great-grandchild; granddaughter Laila and grandson Dyami. Other survivors include her beloved niece, BriAnna Denbow, her "second daughter", and her husband Chris of Canyon, along with their children Lexi, Madi, and Barrett; her father, John Banks, and his wife Linda of Amarillo; her brother, Rock Banks, and his wife Veeann of Amarillo, along with their children Rock Jr. and Brittany; her niece, Sabrina Hutchinson, and her husband Chris of Amarillo, along with their children Harmony, Leland, and Levi; her niece, Rachel Aguilar, and her husband Eliseo of Artesia, NM, along with their children Adrian, Kameron, Eliseo Jr., and Aaron; and her nephew, Lucas Hunter of Austin.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Peggy Banks, sister, Debi Gray, and son, Cody Borden.
