Armida was born on May 22, 1964 in Ojinaga, MX. She moved to Amarillo as a child, where she graduated from Caprock High School in 1982. In 1983, she married the love of her life, Raul Zubia. She was employed at Walmart for over 30 years, working as a department manager in various departments, in the invoicing department and later in the jewelry department. In her free time, she enjoyed watching movies and her favorite shows and most of all, playing Bingo. Above all, she loved her family and cherished time with them, especially their regular breakfasts they enjoyed as often as possible. Armida was a devoted wife, mother, sister and "Momo" to her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Raul Zubia; 2 daughters, Jessica Zubia and Natali Zubia and spouse Jony Rivas; 2 sons, Fabian Urias and spouse, Isabel Gamboa and Lucas Zubia and wife Priscilla; sister, Eulalia Urias; 3 brothers, Miguel Urias and wife Beny, Manuel Urias and Martin Urias and wife Lillian and 13 grandchildren, all of Amarillo.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Elvira Piedra.
