Arthur Trujillo, 85, peacefully passed away on February 22, 2025, at 6:15 PM. He was the second child of Jose Adonias Trujillo and Delubina L. Trujillo, born in Trementina, New Mexico. He spent his childhood in Trementina, attending grade school there before continuing his education at Robertson High School in Las Vegas, New Mexico, after completing the eighth grade.
In April 1960, Arthur married Judy Madrid, and together they built a family, raising three sons: Ronnie, Gerald, and Dennis. After their marriage, they moved to Conchas Dam, New Mexico, where Arthur opened a boat shop, learning to repair boats while perfecting his fishing skills. Eventually, they relocated to Amarillo, Texas, where they settled and built their home. Arthur entered a partnership, investing in Anchor Marine and Sporting Goods. Later, he started his own business, AT&S Power Wash, which specialized in power washing windows, high-rises, and heavy machinery, as well as painting and other related services. Today, AT&S remains in business, still owned and operated by his eldest son. Arthur's beloved wife, Judy, passed away in the late 1970s.
Later, Arthur met his second wife, Louise, at the Kingdom Hall, where he practiced his faith as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. In 1983, they married and welcomed their beloved son, AJ.
Arthur was known for his incredible mechanical skills—if it had an engine or a carburetor, he could make it run. He was a loving and patient family man who deeply cherished his four sons, siblings, and parents. An adventurer at heart, he always carried a rock or two in his pockets, fascinated by minerals, gold, and silver. Arthur loved fishing and making homemade wine, often making everyone laugh by playfully using his squeaky voice to say, "The little old winemaker—me!" His stubborn and mischievous nature helped him live to the age of 85, allowing him to share his incredible and humorous stories with those he loved.
Arthur was the second eldest of his siblings and lived just past his 85th birthday. Though we hated to say goodbye, we find comfort in knowing he is no longer in pain. We will dearly miss this wonderful father, brother, uncle, and grandfather—his memory will never be forgotten.

Dennis took it upon himself to ensure Arthur was safe, took his medications, and had well-balanced meals. He made frequent trips to visit, ensuring Arthur had everything he needed—clothing, hearing aids, personal care—and, most importantly, regular visits filled with love and attention. Dennis also kept the family informed about Arthur's well-being. As caregivers know, watching a loved one decline can be both time-consuming and emotionally challenging. Dennis, your efforts did not go unnoticed, and we are forever grateful.
