Obituary

Barbara Elise Kibler, known affectionately as Barbara to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2025, in Amarillo, Texas. Born on August 7, 1947, in Glasgow, Kentucky, Barbara's life was a tapestry of love, generosity, and unwavering dedication to her loved ones. She was a beacon of selflessness and warmth to all who knew her.

Barbara was the cherished daughter of the late David Claude Brewster and Stella Cleo Brewster. Her life was further blessed with the joy of her children, Virginia and John Kibler, who will carry on her legacy of love. Barbara's heart was large enough to encompass not only her children but also her adored grandchildren, Matthew Alan Bergara, Heather Elise Bergara Le, Miranda Divine Kibler, and Marissa Kalise Kibler, as well as her treasured great-grandchildren, Elijah Urias, Jeremiah Urias, Malachi Kibler, Madilynne Pemberton, Juliannna Le, Ace Hernandez, Kronos Le, and Andres Hernandez. Her family circle was completed by her dear siblings, Lillie Mae Gentry, Kathy Jane Kelley, Wanda Lee Daniels, and Lonnie Lee Brewster. Barbara was preceded in death by her grandson Jacob Kibler, great-grandsons Kenshi Le and Kratos Le, and her sister Molisha Gail Necessary.

A graduate of Temple High School, Barbara's commitment to personal growth were evident throughout her life. She was a woman of many passions, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. Barbara's love for yard sales was well-known, as she delighted in discovering treasures for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as for her friends. She had an eye for special finds and a heart that loved to give.

Barbara's work ethic was unparalleled, and she took great pride in her professional accomplishments. Yet, she always found time to indulge in her favorite television shows, such as "The Bold and the Beautiful," "Deadly Women," and "Chrisley Knows Best," particularly enjoying the antics of Nanny Faye. Her love for classic TV was matched only by her appreciation for music, which brought her immense joy and comfort.

In her leisure moments, Barbara could often be found sipping coffee, a testament to her appreciation for life's simple comforts. Her love for sweets was equally well-known, a small indulgence that she savored with delight. These simple pleasures were the backdrop to the countless memories she created with those she loved.

Barbara's generosity knew no bounds. She was the embodiment of selflessness, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her loving nature was the cornerstone of her existence, and it was this love that she extended to everyone she met. Barbara's presence was a gift, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who were fortunate enough to have been touched by her kindness and compassion.

As we bid farewell to Barbara Elise Kibler, we celebrate a life lived with boundless love and selfless devotion. Her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us, and her memory will be cherished in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
