Ben was born on July 14, 1999 in Decatur. He resided in Bowie, TX, then Wichita Falls, before settling in Amarillo as a child, where he graduated from Midway Alternative High School in 2017. He was immensely intelligent, currently working towards his degree in Astrophysics at Amarillo College. Ben was kindhearted, sometimes to a fault, always willing to help anyone in need. He was selfless and frugal, using his resources to give to others. He was a talented cook, using his skills to show his love for others. Above all, he loved his family, people and pets alike. He cherished all of the time he spent with them and the family get togethers.

Benjamin is survived by his father, Tony Gonce of Amarillo; mother, Amie Johnson; 3 brothers, Asher Gonce of Amarillo, Dee Kelley and Ivory Kelley of Wichita Falls; paternal grandmother, Ann Gonce of Amarillo; maternal grandparents, Anna Martinez and husband Jon of Wichita Falls and Randall Johnson; his cherished kitty, Girlie and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly.

Ben is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Donald C. Gonce; sister, Charity Faith Gonce and his best friend and beloved weimaraner, Hank.
