Billy Jack "B.J." Jameson, 70, of Amarillo passed away on February 12, 2025.
B.J. was born on October 1, 1954 in McAllister, OK to Jack and Classey Jameson. He moved to Amarillo as a child, followed by Tipton, OK, where he graduated from High School. He returned to Amarillo following graduation. Here, B.J. worked as a cook for Barney's Beanery for many years and even had the B.J.'s Patty melt named in honor of him. When the restaurant closed, he went to work for Country Pride Restaurant until his retirement. He was known to be laid back, with not a worry in the world, as well as a very hard worker. In his free time, B.J. enjoyed fishing and playing softball and was an avid OU fan.
He is survived by his sister, Cathy Burkhalter and husband Joe of Amarillo; brother, Ricky Moore of Amarillo; step-son, James Jones of Las Vegas, NV; ex-wife, Vicky Boggess of Norman, OK; nieces and nephew, Kim Hance, Brandon Hance and Octavia Chapman and close friends, Dana, Collene and Kim.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
