Brendon was born on August 11, 1999 in Amarillo, where he was raised and attended Tascosa High School. He was known by others to be silly and sometimes goofy, someone with a big heart and infectious smile and laugh. Brendon was an avid OU fan and gamer. He loved all family time and gatherings. Above all, Brendon loved every piece of his family. He cherished his son Elijah and loved spending time with his sister, Courtney.

He is survived by his mother, Heather Hayes and husband Leon; son, Elijah Peoples-Oliver; sister, Courtney Carter; several other siblings through marriage as well as several siblings on his father's side; maternal grandmother, Vicki Sneller; maternal grandfather, Allen Peoples and wife Brenda and paternal grandmother, Helen Haley, all of Amarillo.
