Obituary

Bruce Nolan Walker, 51, of Amarillo, Texas and formerly of Huntingdon, Pennsylvania was reunited with his Mom and Pop in Heaven on December 28, 2025.

Bruce was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Michelle Walker and Brian Brown.

Bruce "Bulldog" is remembered for his love for the Pittsburgh Steelers, his dogs - especially his "Day 1" Rocket, and Lily; his contagious laugh, generous heart and loving spirit. He loved his children, and grandkids tremendously and was the family peacemaker. Bruce attended Huntingdon Area High School and one of his proudest moments was playing alongside his "brothers", wearing #5 on his jersey and running the ball in for touchdowns, where he continues to hold school records for his excellence in sports. He lived to have a good time with family and friends, reminiscing, shooting pool, playing Spades and dice, retelling stories - adding exaggerated details every time he retold the story, and the nicknames for everyone were the funniest part. For example, when he had lost his leg, he stated he lost his big toe to a shark bite and a mermaid got his leg, while in Pennsylvania. There are no sharks in Pennsylvania.

In early 2020, Bruce met the love of his life, Amber Vaughn, and it was an instant connection. As in everything he did and said, he loved her unconditionally and fiercely. After unexpectedly being quarantined together during Covid, he said, "If we can survive this, we can survive anything." They were married on March 23, 2023 because he said the number 3 was their lucky number. They loved to travel together visiting family and friends and going on family vacations.

Bruce had the "gift of gab" from his Dad, B Sharp. He didn't know a stranger and would hold up anyone he came across with stories about his family, joking about there being more Steelers fans in Texas than PA.

Bruce was an amazing artist, loved watching movies and listening to his Oldies, and he dreamed of a day he could dance again.

Bruce's legacy is his ferocious love for his family, and being the protector of those he loves. He is known as the fun "Uncle Bruce" to all his nieces and nephews, and "Uncle Goosey" to Sawyer.

He enjoyed talking and spending time with family, his brothers and especially his special brothers, DC, LS, Slick, Wes, and Wad and Autie Kai.

Bruce was preceded in death by his Father Brian Brown, Mother Michelle Walker, baby brother Brock Walker
