On February 27, 2026, the world lost a vibrant soul, Bryndan Prieto, who lit up every room with his infectious energy and unique spirit. Born on June 2, 1997, Bryndan embraced life to the fullest, living in the sunny landscapes of Florida and California. He was a true aficionado of anime, car culture, and EDM music, Beautiful Girls and his own sense of fashion: he was often found immersed in the thrill of festivals, where he could dance to the rhythm of his own drum.
A proud sneakerhead and a passionate fisherman, Bryndan possessed a generous heart and an unapologetic love for life. He was a devoted caretaker for his beloved memaw and pepaw and took pride in teaching his little cousin the intricacies of Pokémon, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love and stubbornness. Known for his quick wit and playful roasting of family, he cherished his interactions with those he loved and was a master at keeping secrets.
Bryndan's journey was not without its challenges. He faced asthma with determination and overcame addiction, inspiring those around him with his resilience and strength. He graduated from River Road High School in 2015, proudly forging his own path through life.
He is survived by his loving parents, Mary and Leonard Barbarino; his brother, Seth Barbarino and Memaw and NaNa; and a circle of family and friends who adored him. He will be deeply missed, especially by those who knew his kind heart and fierce spirit. He is preceded in death by his father, Peter Prieto; maternal grandfather, Gary Prather; paternal grandfather, Peter Prieto Sr.; cousin, Aaron Hayden; and uncle, Larry Houston.
Ceremonial Gathering will be held on March 8th 2026 at 2:00PM at Events At The Barn, 300 SE 58th Ave, Amarillo, TX 79118 Friends, family, and all who knew Bryndan are invited to celebrate his life, share stories in his memory honoring the joy he brought to life and the memories that will live on in our hearts.
