Butch was born on January 27, 1964 in LaFayette, IN to Jerry and Patricia Foster. He was raised in Phoenix, where he was employed with Wood Brothers and Halstead Lumber for many years. He settled in Amarillo in 1981, working at Maywood and Sutherlands. He was an avid NASCAR fan, his favorite driver being Dale Earnhardt, Sr. In his free time, he enjoyed riding his bike, and was lovingly known as "Bicycle Butch" to those closest to him. Butch had a heart of gold and would go out of his way to help someone in need. One of his favorite things was spending time with his great nieces and nephews and observing his favorite bearded dragon, Rango eat and interact with everyone.
Butch is survived by his father, Jerry Foster and wife Bertha of Amarillo; sons, Dillon Foster of Wisconsin, Kyle Foster and wife Crystal of Grandview and Casey Foster of Burleson; step-daughter, Shannon Enerson and husband Ryan of Watertown, WI; sister, Jerrie Valdez of Amarillo; brother, Bobby Foster and wife Jennifer of Amarillo; grandchildren, Carson James Foster, Bentley James Foster and Brooklynn Foster; step granddaughter, Serenity Enerson; nieces, Jessica Prestidge and husband Shawn and Michelle Reyna and husband Aaron; nephew, Robert Foster, Jr.; great nephews, Wyatt Prestidge and Zackery Reyna; great nieces, Waelynn Prestidge, Wynona Prestidge, Madelyn Reyna and Rose Foster and his beloved pet companions, River and Dixie.
Butch was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Foster; wife, Diane Foster; niece, Jerica Ruff and his grandparents.
