Obituary

We Celebrate the Wonderful life of Byron Strain, who we tragically lost at the age of 64. Byron was born on September 14, 1960 in Greenwood, Mississippi to Gerald and Marilyn Strain. He lived a full life growing up with many adventures, finally landing them in Amarillo. If you knew Byron you knew he always had a joke to tell, a prank to play or a funny story to relay. He could always put a smile on your face and brighten your day.

Byron married the love of his life, LeAnn Strain on March 31, 1994. Together they faced many challenges which only strengthened their marriage and faith in our Savior Jesus Christ. Their love story is a testament that perseverance, lots of patience and even more love can lead to a beautiful life.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Byron's grandsons all adored him and knew that Pepaw would always drop what he was doing and play with them. He was a member of Faith Life Church of Amarillo, where he and LeAnn attended for many years. Byron had a servant's heart and was a great friend to many.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald "Tiny" Strain Sr.

Byron is survived by his beloved wife, LeAnn Strain; two daughters, Trudy Strain, Caleshe Voges and husband Matthew; one son, Bryant Strain and wife Kayla; his mother, Marilyn Strain; siblings, Jerry, Jimmy and Andrea. He was blessed with four amazing grandsons, Shawn, Samuel, Calvin and Theodore.
