Calistro "Cal" Rodriguez Jr., 62, of Amarillo passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024.
Cal was born on July 5, 1961 in San Angelo, Texas to Calistro Rodriguez Sr. and Francis Medina.
He graduated from Dumas High School. Cal was a faithful member of Power Church here in Amarillo for many years. He was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, a great husband, nurturing father and doting grandfather. Cal's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved him dearly. He found purpose working outdoors and loved being in his garage. Cal "fixed" things while in his garage to the tunes of his music. His profound love for God and his church were the central of his being leaving a mark on all who knew him. Cal's memory will forever be cherished and his presence deeply missed and his love eternal.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Calistro Rodriguez Sr, and Francis Medina Rodriguez; a nephew, Dale Rodriguez Jr.; a niece, Jessica Michelle Flores and a beloved granddaughter, Shasta Shania Rodriguez.
Cal is survived by his beautiful wife, Norma Costillo; six daughters, Heather Barboza and husband Deon, Veronica Rodriguez and husband Israel, Verna Bracamontes, Valerie Lira and husband Armando, Virginia Lopez and husband Javier and Violet Conway Lewis and husband Dylan; a son, Noe Bracamontes; two sisters, Gloria Candelaria and husband Leon and Gabriella Rodriguez; three brothers, Eugene Rodriguez and wife Carmen, Dale Rodriguez and wife Tomasa and Henry Rodriguez and wife Paty; 20 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, seven nephews, six neices, eight great-nephews, 13 great-nieces, a great-great nephew and a great- great neice.
