Carol Musick, 57, died on Sunday, April 12, 2026. Carol was born November 17, 1968 in Chandler, Arizona to Jim and Anna Wheelis. She was the youngest of their four children. On February 12, 2005, Carol married the love of her life, Jason Musick and together they raised three beautiful children, JD, Shelby and Jared.

Carol worked as a Cosmetologist at Guys and Dolls in Clarendon, Texas for almost 20 years. Carol loved to travel, fish and take photos of the mountains and wildlife near her home in Springer, New Mexico. Her absolute favorite thing to do, however, was spend time with her family, especially her two grandsons, Beau and Brice.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Carol's survivors include her husband, Jason; her oldest son, JD Baxter of Amarillo, Texas; her beloved daughter, Shelby Musick of Amarillo, Texas; her youngest son, Jared Musick of Canyon, Texas; two amazing grandchildren, Beau and Brice of Amarillo, Texas, her brother, Keith Wheelis and wife Kelly of Chandler, Arizona and her sister Suzanne and husband Jeff of Williamsburg, Virginia and Brenda Fletchall and husband Mike of Eugene, Oregon.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday, April 20, 2026 at Shafer Mortuary and Funeral Home, 1502 S. Cleveland St, Amarillo, Texas
