Obituary

Carolyn Spencer Jones, born in Amarillo, Texas, passed away on March, 9, 2026 surrounded by the love of family and the faith that guided her life. A devoted follower of Jesus, Carolyn lived with a servant's heart, dedicating her life to caring for others both professionally and personally.

Carolyn was a registered nurse whose career reflected her compassion and commitment to helping people. She began her nursing career in labor and delivery, where she had the privilege of welcoming new life into the world and supporting families during one of their most meaningful moments. She later continued her service as a school nurse, caring for and encouraging countless children. Carolyn also served the State of Texas as a quality control specialist for Medicare and Medicaid, where her work helped ensure care and support for many across the state.

Faith was at the center of Carolyn's life. She loved studying the Bible, participating in Bible studies, and building deep and lasting friendships within her faith community. Her kindness, wisdom, and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

More than anything, Carolyn cherished her family. She was a loving mother to her sons Jason (with Chris), Jeff (with Jennifer), and Scott (with Delane). She was also a proud and devoted grandmother to Elin, Ava, Cate, Finley, and Lauren, each of whom brought her great joy.

Carolyn is also survived by her sister Charlotte (with Carter) and her brother John (with Darlene), along with many extended family members and dear friends who were blessed by her love, faith, and friendship.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to a charity of your choice in Carolyn's memory, continuing her legacy of compassion and care for others.

Carolyn's life was a testament to faith, love, and service. She will be deeply missed, but her family finds comfort in knowing she is at peace in the presence of her Lord Jesus.
