Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charles Tullos, who left us on January 27, 2026. Born on September 17, 1944, in McKinney, TX, Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was married to the love of his life, Carolyn Anderson, in 1982, and together they built a beautiful life filled with laughter and warmth.

Charles was known for his incredible passion for fishing and gardening. He found joy in tending to his plants and sharing his knowledge with anyone willing to listen. His friendly advice, usually accompanied by a jovial story, will be missed by all who knew him. Above all, Charles cherished his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always finding the time to create special memories with them.

Charles is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn Tullos of Amarillo; his children, Clinton and Sharrod Tullos of Missouri, Valarie Tullos of Amarillo, Suzetta Howard of Amarillo, Matthew Burros and wife Sharon of Caldwell, TX, Lytisha Pugh and husband Mark of Breckenridge, TX and William Burros and wife Shara of Amarillo; sister, Brenda Standiford; 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, who will continue to carry on his legacy of love and laughter.
