Cheryl Felicia Sims, 58, of Amarillo, Texas passed away Thursday, August 15, 2024. Cheryl, daughter of Clarence Sims and Ida L. Marshall Sims was born on August 19, 1965 in Memphis, Texas.

She attended Arkansas High School where she graduated in 1984. Cheryl participated in many clubs and organizations throughout high school. After graduation she moved to Amarillo in 1984 where she attended Amarillo College and majored in Education and Business. Cheryl then moved back to Texarkana where she was a Teacher and Owner of Little Folks Daycare in Texarkana, Arkansas. She moved back to Amarillo in 2017 where she was Co-Chair on the scholarship committee for Amarillo Community Lions Club. She retired from Amarillo Independent School District in 2024. Cheryl was a faithful member of Pentecostal Temple Church.

At her time of death Cheryl worked for Kimble Learning Center. Cheryl will be remembered as a loving mother, sister, aunt and grandmother by all who loved her.

She is preceded in death by grandparents, Sammie Sims and Mary Fleeks and her brother, Clarence "Papa Charlie" Sims Jr.

Cheryl leaves to cherish her memory her parents, Ida and Clarence Sims; her daughters, Alicia Choudry (Apollo) and Onecia King; her sisters, Audrey Sims-Whitney (Ruben), Eugenia Sims, Tasauna Sims and Nadria Bugsby; her brothers, Illya Sims and Meron Anderson-Sims and her beloved grandchildren Anthony, Angeleah, Asya, Amoni, Isaiah and Anaya.
