Obituary

Christopher James Overton, 17 years young, of Panhandle, Texas, passed to his Savior on December 18,2024. He was adored by his parents, Chris and Christi Overton, and Mother Elizabeth and Adrain Rodriquez, every day of his life.

Christopher was born on January 30th, 2007. He was a gentle and quiet soul with a streak of mischief at his core that was nothing short of wonderment. He was curious. He was serious. He was serious. He was funny. He was intentional. Most of all, he was a loving young man of honor and integrity. He was a true and loyal friend to everyone he knew and a positive influence on everyone he encountered.

Christopher adored his siblings, Andrea Mata, Justin Cochran, Tristin Cochran, Daylee Overton, and Ben Rodriquez. He was a noble and honorable in his dedication to them all. He cherished his bond with his family, especially his brothers and sisters. As families blend, the kids realized that he was the brother they did not know they needed so desperately!

He was a quiet strength wherever he stood. Christopher truly, truly, cared about people and would quietly act to reinforce the wellbeing of those in his company. Christopher was ahead of the game in most every conversation, and mysteriously, he never let on!

Make no mistake, however, he was always armed with his signature, beautiful grin from ear to ear. That wry smile that made all think he was up to something! He was usually satisfied that all thought he was up to something. He just enjoyed making you nervous. This young man, though not large in physical stature, was a man among men when it comes to his loving heart and dedication to family. His humor, quiet strength, and unconditional love shall never be forgotten and forever missed.

One final note; If there is any peace found in this tragedy, it can only be, that Christopher and his older sister Daylee, took their seats at the right hand of God, together.

Christopher is survived by his parents Chris and Christi Overton of Panhandle, Tx, and Elizabeth and Adrain Rodriquez of Amarillo, Tx.
