In Loving Memory
Curtis Brian Hampton
January 30, 1962 – October 25, 2026
Curtis was a devoted family man, a hard worker, and a true jack of all trades. He was the kind of man who could fix just about anything, build something out of nothing, and always find a way to get the job done. He was always willing to lend a hand, take on a challenge, and use his skills to help others, never hesitating to do whatever needed to be done.
Above all else, his greatest accomplishment was his family. He was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend who could always be counted on. His love was shown not only through his words but through his actions, his hard work, and the countless things he did for the people he cared about.
Curtis was dedicated to serving his community through both good times and difficult days. He was dependable, hardworking, and committed to showing up, no matter the circumstances. He gave of himself selflessly, often working behind the scenes without seeking recognition, simply because he cared about the job getting done.
Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, Gloria and Ralph Hampton, and his brother, Russell Hampton.
Those left to cherish Curtis’s memory include his wife, Vera Hampton of Stinnett; sons, Kelly Hampton and wife Daelyn of Healdton, Oklahoma; Junior Phelan and wife Tiffany of Stinnett; Trevor Phelan and wife Christina of Pampa; and Dennis Phelan and wife Taylor of Stinnett; grandchildren, Avery, Dakota, Brian, Tyler, Spencer, Devyn and wife Sophia, Brock, Ava, Josiah, Devon, Sophie, Aubrielle, Jayden, Andre, and Ezra; great-grandchildren, Myles and Wrynlee; siblings, Tommy Hampton and wife Gina of Fritch, Brenda Whaley of Katy, Texas, Rhonda Low and husband Craig of Spring, Texas, and Serena and husband Daniel Cross of Brandon, Florida; and numerous extended family members and friends.
His love, guidance, and the memories he created with those closest to him will live on for generations to come.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Stinnett, Texas. The service will be livestreamed on YouTube through First Baptist Church Stinnett, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a scholarship fund being established in his memory.
