It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Daniel Johnson, born on December 31, 1953, who departed this life on November 4, 2025. Daniel was a devoted husband to Carolyn Johnson, with whom he shared a loving marriage for over 53 years, having wed on June 2, 1972, in Amarillo, Texas.

Daniel was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Howard and Bonnie Johnson, and his cherished son, Chad Lawrence Johnson. He is also Preceded in death by his siblings—Willie, Richard, Mark, Jimmy, Bill Johnson, Phyllis Fisher, and Betty Mitchum. He is survived by his devoted wife, Carolyn Johnson; his sisters, Fay Tow and husband Dale, and Julie Schreck and husband Leon; as well as his brothers, Jessie Johnson, Charlie Johnson, and John (Tooter) Johnson and wife Debra. Additionally, Daniel is survived by numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

Daniel was known for his passion for NASCAR, football, and his dedication to maintaining a beautiful yard. His warmth, humor, and love for his family and friends touched the lives of all who knew him.

Funeral services to honor Daniel's life will be held on November 8, 2025, at 3:00PM, at Temple Baptist Church. The family invites friends and loved ones to join in celebrating his life and legacy.

He will be profoundly missed, but forever remembered in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
