David was born on June 11, 1988 in Lubbock, TX. He attended Amarillo High School, graduating in 2009. David enjoyed listening to music, being around his family, and Dopler Dave's daily weather report.
He is survived by his mother, Stephanie Mercer and husband Lance of Amarillo; sister, Rhonda Cavitt and husband Johnny of Amarillo; grandparents, Edd McCommon and wife Linda of Amarillo and Diane Neal of Arlington; aunt, Suzanne Chitwood and husband Cody of Amarillo; uncle, Jonathan McCommon of Amarillo; cousins, Sadie Chitwood and Cole Chitwood; niece, Brooklyn Cavitt and nephew, Ryan Cavitt.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to the staff of Daybreak Care home for the loving care they showed David.
