David Louis Solis, 71, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.
He was born on September 17, 1952 in Amarillo, Texas to Louis Jessie Solis and Margaret (Morin) Solis.
David was a movie buff, who especially liked gangster movies. He enjoyed watching football and listening to all kinds of music. David was an avid wrestling fan who loved Spanish wrestling. He was a devoted family man who always had his sunglasses on. David was a faithful member of Beacon Baptist Church. Most of all, David loved spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Margaret Solis; a son, David Louis Solis Jr.; a brother, Gilbert Solis; a sister, Yolanda Hernandez; his first wife, Olivia Flores Solis; his second wife, Aggie Solis and his close friend, Pedro Diaz.
David is survived by two daughters, Anna Turrubiartes and husband Ruben and Cindy Diaz and husband Kris of Amarillo, Texas; two sons, Armando Solis and wife Gloria of Taylor, Texas and Christopher Solis and partner Randall Curley of Las Cruces, New Mexico; a sister, Rosie Charles of Amarillo, Texas; his aunt, Virginia Guadalupe of Amarillo, Texas; 26 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
