David Duane Wiser, June 7, 1962 – January 24, 2025

David Duane Wiser, 62, gained his wings to Heaven on January 24, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a loving father, husband, son, neighbor, and friend. Born and raised in Independence,
Missouri to Arvin Dale and Clara Jo Wiser, David was known for his warm heart and gentle spirit. Often referred to as "the Gentle Giant," his kindness touched everyone he met.

In June 1987, David married Connie Pearson, the love of his life, and best friend. Together, they raised two daughters, Shuana and Kacey. The family moved to Concord, North Carolina in 1990, then to Amarillo,
Texas in 1998. David later returned to Concord to be with his parents, and in October 2023, he made his way back to Amarillo.

David's passions were many, but most notably, he loved spending time with his family, enjoying NASCAR, fishing, bird-watching, and connecting with nature. He also had a deep interest in technology, often streaming PC games and creating content on YouTube. Cooking was another source of joy for him, and he found peace in both preparing meals and enjoying the simple pleasures of life.

David's strength and resilience in the face of illness were an inspiration to all who knew him. He fought hard, never losing his sense of humor or his love for those around him.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Arvin Dale and Clara Jo Wiser. He is survived by his devoted wife, Connie; daughters, Shauna Jefferson (Cedric) and Kacey Goosby; four granddaughters, Shauntaysha, Nevaeh, Keira, and Olivia; and one great-grandson, Alvaro. He is also survived by his brother, Donnie Wiser, sister-in-love Teresa Wiser-Smith and several nieces and nephews.

David's presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. His fight is over, and he is no longer in pain.

As he would always say, "Arrivederci."
