Daylee Rhea Overton, 20 years young, of Panhandle, Texas, passed to her Savior on December 18, 2024. She was adored by her parents, Chris and Christi Overton, every day of her life.
Daylee was born on December 6, 2004. She was kind to every person she met. She was a loyal friend to all who were fortunate enough to know her. She loved with her whole soul with only the desire to help. From her birth, everyone who had contact with her was smitten with her. As she grew in her short life, this was a quality that never left her. This was especially true of her sister, Tristin Cochran. There was a special bond between them that only sisters can know, rarely a day going by without making sure that all was well with one another. She also so deeply loved her most adored advocates and heroes, her two brothers, Justin Cochran, and Christopher Overton. Daylee was a fierce defender of all her siblings and cherished the bond they shared.
Daylee was infectious and could change the energy and mood of a room simply by stepping into it. Her smile would melt your heart, and the batting of an eyelash would comfort those around her. Her demeanor and gentleness, even as a powerful presence, would always convey to all who met her that they were safe, and they were loved. Her boundless energy and vitality will be forever missed, but always remembered. The lives of those who knew her are better for it.
One final note; If there is any peace to be found in this tragedy, it is Daylee and her younger brother Christopher, took their seats at the right hand of God, together.
Daylee is survived by her parents Chris and Christi Overton; her brother Justin Cochran and Catt of Amarillo, Tx; Her sister Tristin Cochran and Matheus of Panhandle, Tx; her grandparents, Wayne and Sherrie Bronniman and Kim and Tammy Overton of Panhandle, Tx; aunts and uncles Steven and Courtney Daniel of Bushland, Tx; Weston and Connie Bronniman of Windsor, Co; Callan Wilkerson of Nashville, TN; Wencer and Megan Bronniman of Claude, Tx; Jesse and Jamie Nall of Odessa, Tx; and a large extended family of loving, nieces, nephews, cousins, grand aunts and uncles and countless friends.
