It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Deborah Fisher, who departed this life on January 29, 2026, at the age of 72. Deborah was born on June 16, 1953, to Luther and Helen Gordon, who preceded her in death. She was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, known for her vibrant spirit and deep love for her family.
Deborah is survived by her son, Allen Contreras and his wife, April; her daughter, Dorothy Clark; her siblings, Nadine Miller and husband Jerry, Alec Gordon and wife Sharon, Billie Anne Smith and husband Bill, and Amy Gordon. She is also survived by eight cherished grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Canaday.
A proud graduate of Canyon High School and Amarillo College, Deborah dedicated her life to her family and her community. A devoted member of the Church at Quail Creek, she found joy in singing specials during church services, crafting, sewing, and participating in water aerobics and belly dancing. Deborah also cherished her time spent fishing and enjoyed creating beautiful ceramic pieces.
Deborah had a passion for family reunions, where her love for her children and grandchildren shone brightly. She was a kind-hearted individual whose laughter and warmth touched the lives of all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held to celebrate Deborah's life on February 4th 2026 at 10:00AM, at the Shafer Mortuary Services Funeral Home 1502 S. Cleveland St Amarillo, Texas 79102, Friends and family are invited to join us in remembering and honoring the extraordinary woman who has left an indelible mark on our hearts.
