Obituary

Deborah Kay Sutterfield, 68, of Amarillo, TX passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025. She was born on April 22, 1956 in Amarillo to Gail and Esther (Rogge) Quine.

Deborah was a Tascosa Rebel through and through, graduating in 1974 and going on to graduate from Texas Woman's University in 1978. She married the love of her life, Thomas Sutterfield on December 6, 1980. Deborah was an amazing Teacher for 38 years, specializing in taking care of the mentally and physically disabled students at Tascosa High School. She was an active member ATPE, an organization for teachers in Texas. Deborah enjoyed cross stitch, crafting and assisting with The Cub Scouts of America with Tom. She could be seen in the stands for every Tascosa High School Football game, she was able to attend. Deborah cherished spending time with her family and she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Deborah is survived by her husband of 44 years, Tom Sutterfield; her beloved son, Tristan Sutterfield; a brother, David Quine and wife Alicia, her uncle, Coy Quine and wife Susan; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
