In Loving Memory of Delamentina “Tina” Martinez

Delamentina “Tina” Martinez, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on October 14, 2026.

Tina’s life will be honored with a memorial service at Shafer Mortuary Funeral Home in Amarillo, Texas. The date and time of the service will be announced at a later date.

Tina was born on May 23, 1960, in Pearsall, Texas, to Pablo and Adelina Martinez. She was a devoted Catholic with a kind and generous heart, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Tina had a special way of showing her love through the little things, creating moments that her family will carry with them for years to come.

Some of Tina’s happiest moments were spent with her family, especially her great-granddaughter, Karisma, who brought her so much joy. She loved sending funny videos to her granddaughter, Adelisett, sharing laughter and little moments of happiness even when they were apart. She also cherished talking with her grandson, Jose, whenever she had the chance. These simple but meaningful moments were a reflection of the love she held for her family. Tina also found comfort and companionship in her beloved dog, Junior, who had been gifted to her by her late son, JP.

Tina was deeply loved by her family and friends. While her loved ones will miss her presence, her voice, her laughter, and the everyday moments they shared, they will forever treasure the memories that remain. The love she gave so freely will continue to live on through the people she touched and the family she loved so dearly.

Tina was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Pablo and Adelina Martinez; her brother, Jesse Martinez; and her son, John Paul “JP” Valadez.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Sonya Valadez Maldonado and her husband, Jareth Maldonado Herrera, and Rosie Wall and her wife, Bethany Wall. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Jose Herrera, Adelisett Cruz, Angel Salinas, Ayden Moctezuma, Emilio Belez and his wife, Nisa Belez, Cameo Bufkin-Belez, Jay Belez, Joaquin Martinez, and Bradley Enos; her precious great-grandchildren, Karizma Cruz, Dante Belez, Novaya Belez, and Revy Bufkin-Belez; along with many other loving family members and dear friends who will continue to hold her close in their hearts.
