With heavy hearts, we share the news of the passing of our beloved Destiny Garcia, who left this world too soon on June 19, 2025. Born on January 22, 2001, in Amarillo, TX, Destiny lit up every room she entered with her sweet and kind spirit. A proud graduate of Caprock High School in 2019, she was known for her artistic flair, often seen with a sketchbook or paintbrush in hand, bringing her colorful imagination to life.
Destiny had a child-like energy that was infectious. Whether she was doodling or painting vibrant scenery, her creations were a reflection of her joyful soul. She had a particular fondness for pandas and often collected anything that featured her favorite furry friends as well as a fondness for Shrek. Animals of all kinds held a special place in her heart, and she approached life with a love and curiosity that inspired everyone around her.
Destiny will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were lucky enough to know her.
She is survived by her parents, Elsa Porras and husband David Villarreal, father, Manuel Garcia; grandmother, Frances Villarreal; sisters, Emily Rose Carrillo and Tiffany Carrillo; brothers, Izaak Garcia and Manuel Garcia, Jr.; niece, Aubriella; nephew, Jett and many other extended family members.
Destiny was preceded in death by her grandfather, Roy Zepeda and maternal grandparents, Juan Porras and Otilia Porras.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2025 at New Life Church. The family requests that attendees wear uplifting, bright colors in honor of Destiny.
