Domingo was born on September 8, 1959 in Midland to Domingo Sr. and Lidia Alvarez. He was raised in Midland, where he attended schools before settling in Amarillo over a year ago. Domingo enjoyed all sports, but was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved listening and dancing to Tejano music, playing pool, and loved to eat. He was a great friend, who always had a nickname for everyone and was known to be quite the jokester. Domingo cherished his family, caring for his young nephews and spending as much family time as he could. He will be missed by his many friends and family members.
Domingo is survived by his mother, Lidia Alvarez of Midland; daughters, Leona Garcia and husband Geovanni and Sovaida Ornelas, all of Amarillo; sister, Delia Cordero of Amarillo; brother, Joe Luis Rojas and wife Janie of Hereford; grandchildren, Izek, Natalie, Valentina, Felipe, Devanee and Valeri as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Domingo Alvarez, Sr.; brother, Mario Alvarez, Sr.; sister, Elia "Ellie" Alvarez; brother-in-law, Eugene Cordero, Sr. and daughter, Katherine Denise "Kiki" Marquez-Alvarez.
