Obituary

Donna Kathryn Shaw, 76, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 6, 2025. Donna was
born on October 3, 1949, to Opie and Inez Griffin in Amarillo, Texas. She was a 1967 graduate
of Palo Duro High School. She became a licensed hairdresser in 1969 and was the proud owner
of several salons over the years. Also, no one would argue that Donna was one of the best
upholsterers in the entire state, perfecting in auto restoration, and not afraid to critique her son,
Timmy's, upholstery work. She married Victor Shaw in Amarillo on August 29, 1994. Donna
retired in 2012 and became part-time Mom to the grandkids.

Her favorite thing in the world was to be surrounded by her family including her three sons,
Timmy, Matt and Chris, and all of the grandkids. She was also a very loving and devoted wife to
Victor. Donna hosted every holiday meal for the entire family and then some. Everyone always
looked forward to her cooking including her homemade frosted oatmeal cookies.

Donna enjoyed road tripping and attending car shows, even winning awards such as Best of
Show Top Pick and Top Ten 1960s Restoration on her prized 1966 Mustang. Some close friends
will remember all of their vehicles parked at a show, every one of them having the most perfect
upholstery done by no other than Donna Shaw. She had a love for cars and owned several
hotrods beginning at a very young age. She also enjoyed watching old movies and films about
the paranormal. Donna and Victor enjoyed watching the Kansas City Chiefs, particularly one
Travis Kelce. Donna was one of his biggest fans.

Donna was very organized until her final days, leaving behind detailed instructions on writing
her obituary and making sure the boys knew exactly how many death certificates to order.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents, Opie and Inez Griffin; older brother, David Griffin;
granddaughter, Averial Watson; mother-in-law, Mary Shaw; father-in-law, Jay Shaw; and
brother-in-law, Gene Shaw.

Donna is survived by her husband, Victor; her sons Timmy and girlfriend Angi, Matt and wife
Amy, and Chris and wife Brittany; grandsons, Brett and wife Tressa, Skyler and wife Britiny,
Casey and wife Hanna, and Matthew; granddaughters, Bentlee and Makeya; sisters-in-law
Beverly and husband Kirk; and Sheryl Shaw; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews
who she cherished so much; along with her very best friend, Vickie Holman; and bonus
daughter-in-law, Kristi Howard.
