Dorene May Coop, 62, of Grand Forks, ND passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. The family will hold services at a later date.

Dory was born on August 16, 1961 in Grand Forks, ND to Thomas and Delories "Dody" Nerby. She loved to watch movies, and listen to music, enjoying a mix of classic rock and oldies as well as country and Freddy Mercury. More than anything, Dory loved her family. She enjoyed family gatherings and cherished her grandchildren.

Dory is survived by her daughter, Christin Kersey of Sherman, TX; 3 sons, Dustin Van Herpen of Phoenix, AZ, Tyler Coop of Mesa, AZ, Cody Coop and Brittany of Canyon, TX; sister, Bonnie McNamee and husband Martin of Grand Forks, ND; brother, Tommy Nerby of Mesa, AZ; 8 grandchildren, Tori Johnson, Dominic Johnson, Landon Johnson, Maddison Johnson, Drake Riccelli'Van Herpen, Kiadia Riccelli'VanHerpen, Aria Coop and Carsyn Coop.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lee Lawrence and brother, Cliff Nerby.
