Doris Jean Cook 

October 4, 1934 – October 17, 2026 

Doris Jean Cook passed away on October 17, 2026, at the age of 92. She was born on October 4, 1934 to Hobert Ellis and Jearl'De Brown. 

Doris lived a life characterized by adventure, independence, and perseverance. Though her journey was marked by both hardships and triumphs, she approached life's challenges with determination and a sincere desire for harmony and peace. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Ray Cook; her brother, Melvin Ray Ellis; her sons, Doyle Wesley Cornelison, Sr., Danny Ray Smith, and Richard Gary Smith. 

She is survived by her daughters, Sharon K. Haechtenand husband, Randy Haechten, Janice M. Cook and Deborah A. Smith; her niece, Cara Sue Ellis; her grandchildren, Jennifer Love, Wesley Cornelison, Jr. Kimberly Haechten, Stephanie Haechten and William Haechten, and numerous extended family members and friends. 

The family is comforted by the faith that Doris has found eternal peace with the Lord.
