Fabian R. "Reyes" Salas was born on January 20, 1952 in Chihuahua Mexico to Reyes and Raquel Salas. He moved to Amarillo in 1977 where he married Margarita Acuna in 2000. He worked for Texas Sand & Gravel as a heavy equipment operator for close to 30 years. He also worked as a Reliable Life Insurance sales agent for 8 years, earning top sales person 3 years in a row. He was an avid pool player and was ranked #1 in Amarillo. He enjoyed playing with his friends at Bosco's Lounge regularly.

Fabian was known to always have a smile on his face and never have a bad thing to say about anyone. He was a good listener. Above all, he loved his family. He cherished being "Tata" and "Grandpa Rey" to his grandchildren, and traveling as often as he could to see their sporting events.

He is survived by his wife Margarita Salas; 2 daughters, Laura Salas, and Margarita Zuniga and husband Nicolas; 3 sons, Fabian Franck Salas and wife Jacinta, Lorenzo Acuna and wife Irasema and Alfredo Moreno and wife Angie; 20 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, all of Amarillo.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
