Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Foy Lovvorn, who left us on February 3, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on January 8, 1936, in Claytonville, TX, to Wade and Dora Lovvorn, Foy moved to Kress, TX, during his childhood, where he later graduated high school in 1954.

Foy was a family man through and through. He married the love of his life, Gay Hartman, in 1957, and their bond was a shining example of love and commitment. Foy was a devoted husband who cherished Gay, and their life together brought joy and warmth to all who knew them.

After receiving his Associates Degree from Amarillo College in 1973, Foy dedicated much of his working life to managing restaurants, where he treated everyone like family. He owned and operated K-Bobs Restaurant in Gunbarrel City and Tulia, TX in the 1970's. Outside of work, he was passionate about hunting and fishing, taking joy in the great outdoors.

Foy will be remembered for his sweet and loving nature, his hearty laughter, and the love he shared with those around him. Pops was always happy and smiled when he called Analyn Miss America.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Gay Lovvorn of Amarillo; 2 sons, Coy Lovvorn and wife LaDonna and Dirk Lovvorn and wife Analyn, all of Amarillo; 3 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; close cousins, Larry and JoAnn Lindeman of Kress.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kelly Lovvorn and brother, Travis Lovvorn.
