Francisco Martinez Jr, 62, of Canyon, Texas, passed away surrounded by love and family on December 23, 2024.

A celebration of Frank's life will be held on December 28th @ 2:00 P.M. at 1502 S. Cleveland St. Arrangements are made by Shafer Mortuary Funeral Home.

Born in Lubbock, Texas on September 16, 1962, Frank was the second of 6, and the oldest out of the 5 boys. He was a beloved father, husband, brother, and son. Fiercely independent and hard working, Frank's memory will always be one of dedication to his work and love for his family and friends.

An avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Frank was the best person to share a cold drink and conversation with. Even if you had to be a little loud so he (and the neighbors) could hear! Throwing a corn hole bag in a back yard somewhere, Frank could always be found with one (or more) of his brothers or his sister enjoying life and each other's company. Wherever he went, so too did a good time.

He leaves behind a family who loved him just as hard as he loved them. Between taking care of his mom, giving advice to his children as best he knew, or wrestling with the grand kids, Frank was determined to be the best he could for everyone around him. His later days were spent soaking up all of the love and laughter and joy that comes with being at home with family. And he loved every minute of it.

He was preceded in death by his father, Francisco Martinez Sr and sister Rosalinda.

He is survived by his mother; Margarita Martinez, sister; Becky Kettler (Jason), brothers; Lelo (Gracie), Sam (Lisa), Lupe, and Joe (Olivia) Martinez, his wife; Nora Martinez, his children; daughters Jessica Martinez, Stephanie Martinez, Rosalinda Bradley (Tanner), and son Francisco Martinez Jr the III, his 6 grandchildren; Matthew, Yanin, Ambree, Ava, Zaiden, and Arya, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
