Obituary

Frank Scott Bain, 62, of Dumas, Texas passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. Frank was born on August 3, 1962 in Dumas, Texas to Carl Leon Bain and Lenora (Sprinkles) Bain. He graduated from Dumas High School. He married Donna Vinson on December 21,1987. Frank enjoyed puzzles, games like risk/poker/dominoes, play station games, philosophy, spirituality, daily show with John Stewart, Colbert report. He liked to tell jokes and fancied himself a possible amateur comedian. Frank loved all types of movies, including horror/comedies/historical/battle stories. He liked to play pranks on people, loved strawberry shakes, loved doting on his grandchildren, history documentaries, science/technology documentaries, long conversations and discussing political issues. Frank enjoyed spending time with his friends/family, classic rock like ac/dc, sharing music with others, visiting his family's land in Oklahoma and going for coffee/food with his loved ones. He cherished time with his cat Patches, caring for animals, cooking/sharing good food with others, going to concerts/traveling. When he was younger and healthier he enjoyed driving in the car, going to drive in movies and Frank liked to talk to EVERYONE and didn't treat anyone like a stranger. Frank worked a number of jobs including; roofing, worked as a stocker at homeland for 7 and half years and worked as a corrections officer for 7 years.

Frank will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Lenora Bain; a brother, Jerrel Wayne Puckett Williams and a grandson, Jasper Wade Vinson.

Frank is survived by his wife, Donna Vinson Bain; two daughters, Kayla Bain and Bethany Purcell; three sons, Braeden Bain, Aaron Brown and Jeremy Vinson; three sisters, Linda Kruger, Karen Young and Valerie Wall; two brothers, David Bain and Steve Bain and nine beloved grandchildren, Kierra Rutherford, Ethan Rutherford, Anthony Purcell, Serenity Waller, Haylyn Bain, August Brown, Katherine Jeanette Files-Vinson, Seraphina Grey Vinson and Khloe Joanne Vinson.
