Frank Campos Chavarria, 64, of Amarillo passed peacefully from this life into the loving arms of Jesus on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.
He graduated from Carlsbad High School and went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology from Eastern New Mexico University.
Frank was born and raised in Carlsbad, New Mexico. He enjoyed playing nose tackle for Caveman Football. Young and eager to get life started Frank moved to Denver, Colorado and fell in love with a beautiful young lady named Brenda. They were married in February 1987 and went on to raise their family of six in the suburbs of Denver for the next 30 years. Frank was incredibly passionate about his career as a senior software engineer in which he excelled. All this was second to ensuring his family was raised and immersed in church. Serving in different ministries throughout his life he showed his children the importance of faith as a foundation of life. Frank was a true jokester who was always ready for a good one-liner and a hearty laugh to follow. He was enthusiastic about sports, any sport team his kids played on were his favorite. Frank was an avid Denver Broncos fan who loved photography, boating, fishing, listening to music and learning new things always. Frank and part of his family relocated to Amarillo, Texas in 2021, where he continued his retirement and to ensure his three grand-daughters were well cared for. He taught his children to live with integrity, passion and intention in all that they do. Frank will be dearly missed by many but not soon forgotten.
He was preceded in death by his father, Reynaldo Chavarria; his mother, Catalina Campos; three sisters, Helen Castillo, Enedina Salazar and Josefina Ortiz and four brothers, Ezequiel Salazar, Herman Chavarria, Abel Chavarria and Robert Chavarria.
Frank is survived by his beautiful wife of 37 years, Brenda Chavarria; three daughters, Hanna Chavarria of Alamosa, CO, Josie Patrick and husband Ben of Amarillo, TX and Dori Chavarria and significant other Nic Landenberger of Centennial, CO; two sons, Rey Chavarria and wife Becka of Littleton, CO and Matthew Ricard of Aurora, CO; a sister, Dorinda Martinez and husband Michael of Carlsbad, NM and two brothers, Celerino Salazar and wife Michelle of Phoenix, AZ and Ernesto Gonzales of Fort Worth, TX and five grandchildren, Lexi Chavarria of Amarillo, TX, Mireyah Chavarria of Amarillo, TX, Rylee Chavarria of Littleton, CO, Nola Chavarria of Amarillo, TX and River Chavarria of Littleton, CO.
