Gary Dean Posey, 59, of Amarillo, Texas passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025, at 6:14 am surrounded by those who loved him. He was born on Tuesday, July 13, 1965 in Amarillo, Texas at the Old Northwest Texas Hospital on 6th street to Carolyn and Gary Posey.

Gary was one of eight siblings; six brothers and twin sisters. He was raised in the heart of the San Jacinto neighborhood, where cousins and friends were like extended family. That close knit upbringing shaped Gary into a man of deep loyalty, strength and heart.

Gary was a jack of all trades, a hard-working man who could fix just about anything. He wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty, whether it was working on cars, building something from scratch or lending his tools and time to anyone in need. Gary approached life with skill, resourcefulness and pride in his work. He was a man who stood firm on his beliefs and you always knew where he stood. Gary was honest, principled and unafraid to speak the truth. He lived with conviction and led by example. Gary was a pillar of The Posey Family and was someone they looked to for strength, guidance and support. He was steady, dependable and always there when it mattered the most. Gary's loyalty was unmatched and his love for his family ran deep. He was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast to the core. His presence filled the room and will be deeply missed.

Gary will be remembered for his true grit, sense of humor and generous heart.

He was preceded in death by great grandparents, Ivan and Roy Dockins and Andrew and Christina Posey; parents, Gary and Carolyn Posey; two brothers, Brian Posey and Hollis Posey and numerous aunts and uncles.

Gary is survived by two daughters, Haley Posey and Taylor Posey; three sons, Gary Posey Jr., Jeff Posey and Jacob Posey; two sisters, Rhonda Posey and Robin Posey; three brothers, Andy Posey, Larry Posey and Jerry Posey; 10 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
