Gerald Harold, 88, passed away on March 9, 2025, in Amarillo, Texas.
Gerald Harold was born on May 5, 1936 in Hoxie, Kansas, to Bester and
Jewell Harold. Gerald graduated from Central High School in Greeley,
Colorado and went on to earn a degree from the University of Northern
Colorado. He started his career teaching art in a high school in Northern Colorado.
He was drafted into the army the following year. After two years in the army, he
and his wife moved to Pueblo, Colorado. There were no teaching jobs so Dean
started his career at Arkansas Bank. He stayed with banking and later moved
to San Diego, California and became a Loan Review Officer.
Gerald married Beverly in 1959. The couple had 2 children, Linda and Mark.
Gerald was best known for being very outgoing. He loved to entertain and
help others. Gerald loved to travel. He was also known to be very
active by working out, running, and being outside in the garden. Dean
could also be found decorating the home. He was very artistic and
loved to draw, but his love for his family and to be around them is
what he loved most. He was very active with his church family both at
First Baptist in Pueblo, Colorado and San Diego California.
Gerald was also a veteran of the United States Army.
Gerald is survived by, Daughter Linda Gonzalez and husband Fred and
Son Mark Harold and wife Jana, Grandchildren, Sarah Smith, Samuel
Gonzalez, Jacob Gonzalez, Colton Harold, Bradon Harold and Dalton
Harold. Great Grandchildren; Abram Smith, Asher Smith, Abel Smith,
Levi Gonzalez, Elijah Gonzalez, Samuel Gonzalez and Ayda Gonzalez.
Gerald is preceded in death by his wife Beverly Harold, parents Bester
and Jewell Harold
