Ivan was born on March 3, 1974 in Amarillo. He was raised in Canyon, where he graduated high school. He had many friends and was known to be the life of the party. Ivan never met a stranger and enjoyed gathering with friends as often as possible.

He is survived by his mother, Donna Oblinger and husband James of Amarillo; son, Brandon Cole of Nashville, TN; daughter, Kaitlyn Cole of Nashville; 2 step-sons, Donny and Austin; 2 brothers, Robert Cole and wife Stephanie of Colorado and Chad Cole of Dallas; Uncle, Darrell Cole and wife Redina of Woodward, OK and his nieces and nephews, Jordan, Brittany, Branson and Ben Cole; cousins, Steven Hunt and Alice, Shannon Nunez and Carl Cole and family.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
