Obituary

James Bryan Campbell, 59, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. He was born in Amarillo, Texas on March 25, 1966 to Gary James Campbell and Ann (Owens) Campbell. James attended Fritch High School in Fritch, Texas.

James was an exceptional Carpenter, who loved to work and build things. He would help out his family and friends with any building project they may have. James shared a birthday with his great-granddaughter "Navi" and would celebrate with her every chance he had. He loved the outdoors, the lake, camping and swimming. James enjoyed dancing and would go dancing every chance he got until he became ill. He enjoyed listening to music and sitting outside enjoying the beautiful days. James loved his family dearly and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gary James Campbell; an uncle, Robert Owens; three cousins, Robbie McLain, David Shea and Kendra Vela; one beloved grandson, Cash; step dad, Charles "Dan" Thomas and four grandparents.

James is survived by his beloved mother, Ann Thomas of Amarillo, Texas; three daughters, Mindy Smith of Llano, Texas, Jamie Campbell of Fritch, Texas and Amanda Campbell of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two step sons, Brian Smith and Jason Smith of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two sisters, Cindy Rachu and husband Larry of Amarillo, Texas and Deanna Loehle and husband Nathaneal of Bushland, Texas; three brothers, Mike Campbell of Abilene, Texas, Roy Campbell and wife Mary of Amarillo, Texas and Chad Thomas and Becka of Amarillo, Texas; seven grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and great nephews.
