Jamie Jones Rodgers, 64, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 1, 2026
She was born on April 10, 1961, in Amarillo, Texas, to Howard and Madge Jones. She grew up alongside her two older brothers, Howard and David and carried the importance of family with her throughout her life.
Jamie dedicated much of her life to education, serving not only as a teacher but also as a high school counselor. She was passionate about guiding and supporting students, helping shape their futures both inside and outside the classroom. Her work made a lasting impact on many young lives.
She was deeply grounded in her faith and a firm believer in Jesus, trusting Him throughout all seasons of life. Even during her battles with cancer, she remained steadfast in her faith.
Jaime found love again and was proudly married to Charlie Rodgers following the passing of her first husband, Harley. She cherished both the Rodgers and Highsmith families and valued the relationships she built within them.
She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Sheli, and a proud grandmother who loved her grandchildren deeply. Her family brought her great joy, and she took pride in watching them grow.
Jaime will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her strong faith and the impact she had on those around her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Madge Jones and her first husband, Harley.
She is survived by her husband, Charlie Rodgers; her daughter, Sheli; her beloved grandchildren; her stepson, Kevin and his family; two brothers, Howard and David and many extended family members and friends who loved her.
Her life was a testament to faith, resilience and enduring love.
