Jarrell Dean Hethcox , 77 , of Amarillo, Texas passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. He was born in Amarillo, Texas on October 5, 1947 to Roy Lue and Emma Jo (Anthony) Hethcox. Jarrell graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1967.

He was a Carpenter and a Carpenter Forman before he retired, working for Fluor Daniels in many places in the United States. Jarrell loved traveling, camping and fishing. He loved spending time with his daughter and grandchildren.

Jarrell served in the US Army from 1968 to 1970. He was in the 82nd Airborne division.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Emma Jo Hethcox; one brother, Dennis Hethcox and former wife Lydia Hethcox.

Jarrell is survived by one daughter, Eryn Griffin and husband Danny of Oldtown, ID; brother, Lanny Hethcox and wife Donna of Ada, OK, sisters, Gail Mehnert of Joplin MO and Gaye York and husband Roger of Amarillo, TX ; three grandchildren, Sydney Dry, Dylan Griffin and Harley Griffin all of Oldtown ID.
