Jason Darrell Armstrong, 46, passed away tragically in a car accident on April 3, 2025. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at HIS CHURCH in Amarillo. Arrangements are under the direction of Shafer Mortuary Services Funeral Home.
Born on January 8, 1979, in Pampa, Texas, Jason was the beloved son of Floyd and Rebecca Mullen. He began his professional endeavors with GW James before moving into the food industry, where he was admired for his strong work ethic and unwavering dedication. Jason began his journey of faith at a young age at Bible Baptist Church in Pampa, and he never wavered in his love for Jesus.
Jason had a deep love for music— Metallica was the soundtrack to many memories with those closest to him. He found joy in playing his guitar, creating unique tunes that reflected the vibrant bold way he lived his life. His passion, presence, and the energy he brought to life will be deeply missed.
To his family, Jason was more than a son and brother—he was the fun uncle, the one who filled family gatherings with laughter and playful energy. Whether making silly noises or launching homemade paper airplanes, Jason had a gift for bringing joy and creating unforgettable moments.
Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bob and Gleen Armstrong, and Charlie and Joyce Mullen. He is survived by his parents; two brothers, Ricky Lee Mullen, and Joshua Mullen and his wife, Rachell, of Amarillo; and two sisters, Christina Snell and her husband, Levi, of Amarillo, and Angel Shipp and her husband, Joey, of Sheffield, Alabama. He is also survived by ten nieces and nephews: Tasia, Chris, Nick, Branaghan, Ashlynn, Arison, Jace, Jaelynn, Jarin, and Jaspin.
Jason leaves behind a legacy of love, music, and unforgettable moments that will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
