It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our beloved Jeremiah Rafael Chavez, who left us far too soon on September 1, 2025, at the tender age of 7. Born on September 22, 2017, in Odessa, TX, Jeremiah brought joy and laughter to everyone who knew him. After moving to Canyon, TX with his family, he quickly made many close friends and touched many lives.

A true cowboy at heart, Jeremiah loved donning his cowboy attire and living life with the spirit of adventure. Riding motorcycles with his dad was one of his favorite pastimes, and he could often be found with a big smile on his face, embodying the carefree spirit of a true Texan.

As a first grader at Reeves-Hanger Elementary, Jeremiah was sweet, loving, and known for his affectionate nature. He had a special way of spreading joy to those around him, and his caring heart will be missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Jeremiah is survived by his parents, Josh Chavez Navarro and Jessica Trejo of Canyon, TX; siblings, Analise Chavez, Julius Chavez, Josiah Chavez and Alias Chaves; grandparents, Edwardo and Isabel Chavez of Canyon and Elmer Trejo of California as well as great grandparents, Juan and Angela Trejo and Connie Flores, all of Amarillo.
