Obituary

Jerrell Eudey, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, left this world on June 30, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on March 3, 1948, in Childress, Texas, Jerrell grew up in Fritch before graduating from Fritch High School in 1966.

In 1972, he settled down in Tulia, where he started his working life with the road department before shifting gears to join Roll 'A' Cone, where he dedicated 22 years to building plows. His knack for fixing anything made him the go-to handyman for family, friends, and anyone lucky enough to know him. After retiring, Jerrell enjoyed a brief stint in sales at his best friend's Benji Ruiz' business, Ruiz Photography, where he brought his own kind of charm to the job.

Jerrell was a simple man with a heart of gold. He was known to be quite the social butterfly and story teller, sometimes telling the tallest of tales. He loved sipping on chocolate milk, snacking, and spending time outdoors fishing. His daughter Tara often joined him on the sofa for some football—yes, as a Dallas Cowboys fan, he had a love-hate relationship with the team. Some of his best moments were spent with his granddaughter, Jacie, his partner in crime, who was always able to put the biggest smile on his face.

He is survived by his 2 daughters, Tara Vera and husband Pedro of Amarillo and Carla Amburn and husband Terrill of Glenrose, TX and their mother, Dana Eudey; sister, Beverly Eudey of Amarillo; 5 step-brothers, Don Dees, Randy Dees, Waymon Dees and wife Gail, Montie Dees and Bryant Dees and wife Janie; 5 grandchildren, Jacie Eudey and fiancé Jordan Johnson, Iris Vera, Natalie Vera, Jackson Amburn and Reese Amburn and 1 great grandchild, Brynleigh Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Emergene Melton Eudey, step-mother, Betty Eudey and father, Travis Eudey.
