Obituary

Jessica Lynn Couch-Amaya, 29, of Dumas, Texas passed away peacefully on Monday, June 2. 2025 with her loving mother and father by her side

Born on June 19, 1995, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Monica Ruiz Ortega and James E. Couch, Jessica graduated from Stratford High School in 2013. From a young age, she had a deep compassion for others, especially those who needed extra care and understanding. This calling became her life's work.

Jessica devoted her heart and energy to working with individuals with disabilities, showing incredible patience and love. One of her most meaningful relationships was with "Bubba," whose life, and hers was forever changed through their bond.

Jessica had a magnetic spirit. She was bold, fiercely independent, and unapologetically herself. Her laugh was loud, joyful, and contagious. It filled every room and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Above all, Jessica's greatest joy in life was being a mother. She leaves behind three young children, who were the center of her world. Her love for them was boundless and unwavering. Jessica's spirit will live on through her children.

In her final act of generosity, Jessica chose to be an organ donor, giving others the gift of life and a second chance, just as she had always given so much of herself in life.

"Chica Lynn" you will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved you.

She is proceeded in death by her grandparents Manuel Ruiz Esparza and Inocencia Elizalde de Ruiz of Meoqui Chihuahua, Mex.; Billy Donald and Mary Jane Couch of Downingtown, Pa.; Aunt Carmen Yolanda Ruiz de Lerma of Meoqui Chihuahua, Mex.; Uncle Robert Kincannon of Tullahoma, Tn.; Uncle Manuel Ruiz Elizalde of Juarez, Chihuahua, Mex.; Cousin Miguel Angel Lerma Ruiz of Delicias Chihuahua, Mex.
