Obituary

Jose Roman (Robert) Roybal Jr, 51, of Amarillo Texas passed away on May 7, 2026.

Robert was born on July 31, 1974 in Abernathy Texas to parents, Robert (Sr) and Pauline Roybal. Robert has one sister, Melissa Hella. Robert's brother is Richard (Rick) Roybal.

Robert attended Caprock High School and followed in his father's footsteps becoming a truck driver. Robert drove for several companies over the years and loved his life as a professional driver. His career spanned 34 years.

Robert married the love of his life, Tiffenie Roybal and the two raised 5 children. Justin Blamey and wife Kerry, Mercedes Frey and husband Gunner, Cheyenne Roybal, Jacob Roybal and wife Clarissa and Jamey Roybal and husband Daniel.

Robert has 13 grandchildren, Raiden, Kitana, Alekai, Aurora, Faithlynn, Ventaya,Blevin, Addison, Wrenleigh, Wilder, Swayzee, Weston, River and Justin. Robert loved his grandchildren dearly. His grandchildren were his world. It was said Raiden was his little twin as the two wore matching clothes, Kitana was so close to him, he called her "Cree" most of the time. He took Jacob's kids, Alekai and Aurora shopping and we all know Robert didn't shop, he also gave his time and attention to Justin's children. Ventaya was the first grandchild and Faithlynn gave him a run for his money!!

When Robert wasn't driving a truck, he found pleasure in his favorite pastimes. He and Tiffenie attended the Rt. 66 race track where they cheered on family and friends racing at the track. Robert also loved to gamble and enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas to play black jack. He loved to watch the New York Giants and always bet against the Cowboys..again liking the bet. Robert was a good sport even when he lost a bet. Robert loved to watch Nascar and rooted for his favorite drivers, Dale Earnhardt as well as Earnhardt Jr. Robert would watch football and Nascar with his family and his best friends, Pal and Henry. He loved his dogs almost as much as his children, almost. Robert was known by many and all called him either Robert or Bobby. His kids called him Roger. This was an inside joke which they all shared and laughed at.

Robert is preceded in death by his father, Robert Roybal Sr. His daughter, Chloe Rene and grandparents.

Robert's laugh could lighten any room and he would give to anyone in need. He will be missed by all. Love ya Roger
