Joseph Gordon Mende (Joe)

Joseph Gordon Mende, age 53, was born on March 9, 1972, in Amarillo, Texas and went to meet Jesus on December 20th, 2025. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose strength, skill, and love left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him.

Joe met the love of his life, Keia, in high school. Though life took them on different paths for a time, they later reunited, fell deeply in love, and became inseparable. They were married on July 16, 1994, building a life rooted in love, loyalty, and family.

Joe is survived by his loving wife, Keia Mende; his children, Karleigh Cross and her husband Kyle, Keegan Mende, Jonathan Mende, and stepdaughter Kalee Allen; his cherished granddaughters, Abigail and Everlynn; his loving mother, Janice and her husband Chris, and his loving father, Robert and his wife Lane, and his sister Zoe. He now joins a precious grandbaby in heaven who was waiting for Papa at the gates of heaven. He is also reunited in heaven with his beloved grandparents, Inez and Gordon.

Joe was known as a man who could fix anything—if it was broken, he could make it right. He traveled across the United States delivering and picking up vehicles and was widely known for his talent in remodeling homes, always working with his hands and heart. Music was another passion of his, and he found joy in playing his guitar.

A proud American, Joe deeply loved the USA and cherished his freedom. He lived life on his own terms, valuing hard work, independence, and providing for those he loved.

Joe's legacy lives on through his family, his craftsmanship, and the countless lives he touched with his generosity, determination, and love.
