Obituary

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Josephine Gonzales, beloved wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother, who departed this life on May 23, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on May 4, 1957, in Lorraine, Texas, Josephine was a pillar of strength and an embodiment of love for her family and friends.

Josephine is survived by her devoted husband, Ruben M. Gonzales; her daughters, Jessica Lucero and husband Jesse, Natasha Gonzales, Christina Gonzales, Kala Campos and husband Hugo, and Belen Enriquez and husband Raul; her sons, Abel Aleman and wife Sophie, Quentin Gonzales, Rene Gonzales and wife Martina, and Ruben Gonzales. She also leaves behind four brothers and four sisters, along with 25 adored grandchildren and 19 precious great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Ramon and Trinidad Arenas; her beloved daughter, Monica Aleman; and her brother, Raul Arenas. Josephine was known for her extraordinary warmth and nurturing spirit. She dedicated her life to caring for her family, finding immense joy in cooking and creating a loving home where all felt welcome. Her steadfast faith was evident in her continual prayers for her loved ones, reflecting the depth of her affection.

Josephine's kindness, strength, and unwavering love will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched, leaving an indelible legacy of love and compassion.
